There are no Manitobans who are fully vaccinated receiving intensive care treatment for COVID-19. There are 56 new COVID-19 cases in Manitoba, with 30 of those cases in people who have received no COVID-19 vaccine, nine who are particularly vaccinated, and 17 who are fully vaccinated. New cases include: 23 in Southern Health Sante Sud 12 in Winnipeg nine in the Northern region eight in Praire Mountain four in Interlake-Eastern As of Tuesday, there are 576 active COVID-19 cases and 57,643 recovereis. There are 1,201 people who have died. Manitoba's test rate is 3.2 per cent. In the hospital, there are 68 people, 28 of which have active cases. There are 14 people in ICU, with six of those having active cases. On Monday, Manitoba's Chief Public Health Officer says the province is very likely in the early stages of a fourth wave as he looks at cases risking in Southern Manitoba. Manitoba's Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin is making a slight change to the health orders. Self-isolation for close contacts is reduced from 14 days to 10 days, with self-monitoring for the remaining four days. "The risk of becoming a case is must earlier in that incubation period so that if someone hasn't become a case within ten days it is much less likely that they will become a case after," Roussin says in the Monday media briefing. He says this aligns Manitoba with what other province's have been requiring.
